I am a web developer and SEO specialist based in Melbourne, building websites for small businesses and making sure people can actually find them. That means the whole job, not just the build: fast hand-coded pages, technical SEO set up properly from day one, analytics that show what is working, and the ongoing maintenance that keeps a site healthy after launch.

The work I am proudest of is at the small end of the market — businesses with a real trade, a low budget, and no online presence, where growth is capped at the number of people who already know them. I build the site, then do the unglamorous part: Search Console and Analytics, page titles written around what customers actually search for, a properly filled out Google Business Profile, structured data so their hours and location show in results. Then I keep watching and adjusting. None of it needs an advertising budget — it needs someone treating a business's online presence as infrastructure and maintaining it like infrastructure.

The bigger reason I do this: every business should get its share of attention, whatever its budget and whatever its owner's comfort with technology. A good tradesperson should not be invisible because they cannot afford an agency, and nobody should feel locked out of their own website because the tools assume they already know the jargon. So I keep the explanations plain, hand over something the owner can genuinely edit themselves, and build nothing that only I can maintain.
